CBD beer is finally here and has set the bar quite high!

The CBD industry has been rather busy lately creating a variety of CBD-infused beverages but has been struggling with beer for quite a while now. There have been some attempts of making a CBD beer in the past few years, yet most weed beer brewers used THC instead of alcohol, replacing one mind-altering substance for another.

While there are several hemp beer brewers in the UK, like Green Times Brewing and Hop & Hemp, there’s currently just one CBD-only beer brewer in the USOutbound Brewing, and they’ve created the first CBD only, non-alcoholic beer.

To get things straight: CBD beer can’t get you high! In the traditional sense, that is. The main difference between THC- and CBD-infused beer is that THC-infused beer affects the drinker in a typical way: it has mind-altering effects that depend on the levels of THC, the dose, and the number of consumed drinks.

On the other hand, CBD-infused beer relaxes the drinker and improves their mood without any mind-altering effects. It’s great for people who don’t want to experience the psychoactive effects of cannabis but want to enjoy the taste and benefits of CBD-infused beer.

Moreover, all Outbound beers have less than 0.5% alcohol per bottle, which makes them non-alcoholic. Currently, there are three varieties available:

  • Blood Orange Haze — a tan brew with earthy and herbal notes, with the addition of blood orange peel aromas. The spicy fizz complements the orange flavors with earthy undertones and citrus zest freshness.
  • Pale Haze — has a mild and pleasant hoppy aroma with citrusy and flowery flavors. A hint of bitterness balances the brew and makes it neither too strong, nor too weak.
  • Grapefruit Haze — has a light and citrusy lemon and grapefruit aroma, with a spicy finish.

These tasty beers are currently only sold in southern California, Arizona, and New Mexico, because of the strict FDA regulations that surround CBD-infused foods and beverages. However, we’re pretty sure that anyone who gets their hands on them will enjoy their deliciousness.
