Fanshawe College Starts a Program for Cannabis Scientists

The cannabis business has grown so much in the last year that Fanshawe College has decided to start a program for everyone who wants to get a degree in cannabis. That is, everyone who has a science post-graduate background, in addition to a passion for cannabis.

This program will be perfect for everyone who wants to go into the cannabis business since the graduates of this program will be able to apply their knowledge and skills to this budding industry.

Cannabis science students will be working in licensed labs, and they’ll acquire the necessary cannabis regulatory knowledge, which is needed to meet the industry requirements. Graduates of this program will be able to analyze cannabis for stability, safety, as well as quality. They will also be able to contribute to the research and development of new cannabis products.

Lindsay Engel, the associate dean of applied sciences and technology at the said college, says that the students who want to work in the research department won’t have to pass a police record check, but the ones who want to work in the field will undergo the process.

Some of the courses this program consists of are Science and Principles of Cannabis Regulation, Chemistry of Cannabis, and Cannabis Crop.

The program is supposed to last one year, and it is expected to start in the fall of 2020.
