INC.’s Top 250 Best-Led List Includes 5 Marijuana Companies
Charlotte’s Web, a Colorado CBD manufacturer, along with four other cannabis companies has been placed on Inc. magazine’s top 250 best-led companies list.
In short, each year, Inc. analyzes the entire market to identify companies with the best management practices. And given that the worldwide cannabis market is expected to reach $47 billion by 2025, it’s no surprise that five cannabis brands joined this list.
Now, in order to generate the list, Inc. assessed public and private companies based in the US that reached a valuation of $50 million to $10 billion or sales of $50 million to $2 billion in 2020. In fact, this is the first time Inc. has recognized both governmental and private businesses on its list.
To be precise, Ayr Wellness was 244th, Charlotte’s Web was 207th, Arizona-based 4Front Ventures was 193rd, Massachusetts-based Curaleaf Holdings was ranked 139th, and Chicago-based Cresco Labs was ranked 74th.
Overall, Snowflake Inc., a data warehousing company established in Bozeman, Montana, that utilizes the latest cloud computing technology topped the list.
What’s more, to even be considered for the list, businesses had to apply and were then assessed based on four important criteria:
- market penetration and customer engagement
- performance and value creation
- leadership team
- and talent
