Join the Pot for Plasma Campaign and Get Free Weed
Since the beginning of the pandemic, numerous hospitals in the Great Lakes State have been struggling with blood supply shortages. Namely, the doctors were forced to make impossible decisions and prioritize the most urgent operations.
That is why Greenhouse of Walled Lake and UBaked Cannabis Edibles created a Pot for Plasma campaign to help Michigan’s Association of Blood Banks and the American Red Cross with shortages of blood and plasma.
The campaign started on January 18 and will end on February 27. All individuals over 21 can participate by donating blood and plasma. As a reward, they will get a free pre-roll, which normally costs between $10.00 and $20.00.
Moreover, they don’t need to purchase anything from the dispensary to get free weed. They will only need to show proof that they’ve donated either plasma or blood — the “I Donated” sticker, a receipt from the blood bank, or a band-aid on the arm.
This isn’t the first time Greenhouse offered free weed to people. A year ago, the brand launched a campaign called Pot for Shots, where they gave pre-rolls to all people who got vaccinated against COVID-19. In fact, they gave away 30,000 pre-rolls!
The brand’s owner, Jerry Millen, hopes that Pot for Plasma will be an equally successful campaign, given that they already gave away about 300 pre-rolls during the first week.
Not only will this campaign raise awareness about the shortage of blood and plasma, but it will also promote the benefits of recreational marijuana, which has been legal in Michigan since 2018.
