Olivia Newton-John Opens Up About Breast Cancer and CBD

Entertainment News -Grease Star

Olivia Newton-John, the Grease star we all know and love since 1978, recently made a public appearance at her annual Wellness Walk and Research Run in Melbourne alongside her husband John Easterling and daughter Chloe Lattanzi.

The Wellness Walk and Research Run in Melbourne supports individuals with cancer by walking or running with Newton-John as the funds that are raised are donated to supportive care and world-leading wellness programs. This way, patients suffering from cancer may receive the most accurate diagnosis and high-quality treatment with hopes of recovery.

The Australian icon, wearing stylish activewear and rocking a shoulder-length bob haircut spoke up about her ongoing battle with breast cancer for the third time. In an interview with CBS This Morning, Olivia said: “I’m happy, I’m lucky, I’m grateful. I have much to live for. And I intend to keep on livin’ it”.

Even though Newton-John battled breast cancer previously from 1992-2013 and again in 2017, she claims that the diagnosis does not anger her. “No. “Why me,” has never been a part of it. But I never felt victimized… Maybe deep down I knew there was a reason or a purpose for it, or maybe I needed to create one to make it OK for myself. Because it’s — again, it’s a decision, ”how am I gonna deal with it?” said the icon.

Furthermore, Newton-John praises medical cannabis and claims that using it only changed her life for the better. According to the star, medical cannabis improved her quality of life and helped her ease the symptoms of cancer, stating that “I hope to be able to soon offer that to everyone — that’s my dream.” In previous interviews, the actress talked about her treatment schedule stating that she ingests cannabis alongside a green algae drink in the morning. Furthermore, she mentions her husband as being her greatest support: “He grows the plants and makes them into a liquid for me. I take drops maybe four to five times a day” said the actress in an interview from 2018.

As expected, the star is thrilled with Australia’s decision to provide 3 million dollars of funding into research dealing with how medical cannabis may cure cancer patients. Hopefully, everyone will be able to enjoy its medical benefits soon enough.
