We’ll start off this NuLeaf Naturals review with the first impressions we got from this brand: purity and focus.
NuLeaf Naturals makes only the purest, highest-quality CBD oil. The company is focused on producing only premium CBD oil rather than stocking an enormous range of average products; this is but one of many reasons we were tempted to try out and review this brand.
NuLeaf Naturals is among the first CBD companies to be USDA organic and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) certified.
Using only the cleanest methods of production, the highest-quality US-sourced hemp, and being incredibly transparent, the company has quickly garnered the consumers’ trust and a great many positive NuLeaf Naturals reviews.
Keep reading to discover what we think about the brand and their products and whether they’re as good as it seems at first glance.
Production: CBD-based wellness products for a healthy mind and body

NuLeaf Naturals Maxim: Premium Cannabinoid Wellness
This Colorado-based company is one of the oldest and best in the CBD industry, which numerous positive NuLeaf Naturals business reviews can attest to. NuLeaf Naturals was established in 2014 — with the premise of creating the most optimal purity — by Jessica Parsley, Bo Shirley, and Jaden Barnes. Long before the CBD craze hit the US, the founders were in the plant and medical botany industries. Eager to spread the power of plant medicine and make people’s lives both easier and better, they created a 100% organic brand.
The company is dedicated to sustainable farming practices and wholesome CBD products free from dangerous chemicals, additives, preservatives, or even flavorings.
Hence, their ultimate goal is 100% purity, and an abundance of positive reviews for NuLeaf Naturals show they’ve had great success thus far.
CBD Oil Quality and Purity
Since purity is NuLeaf’s main mission, it’s only natural that they use only the best hemp; locally sourced no less. It’s a very well-known fact that Colorado-grown hemp is the best on the market, for two simple reasons: the rich water and Colorado’s exceptional agricultural program.
The hemp is watered directly from the Rocky Mountain springs, thus providing the freshest possible water in the States. Additionally, the agricultural program has some of the most severe restrictions and regulations, ensuring that the hemp is 100% pesticide-free.
Furthermore, the hemp is regularly checked for THC levels, which is yet another reason why we wanted to do this NuLeaf Naturals CBD review.
The Extraction Process
In accordance with the purity policy, NuLeaf Naturals uses the CO2 extraction process. Of course, this is the best and cleanest way of extracting CBD oil from hemp. What’s more, the company extracts CBD from the whole plant — seeds, stems, and flowers.
The CO2 method uses carbon dioxide to extract the (full-spectrum) cannabinoids and remove any and all harmful ingredients. As it doesn’t use high temperatures, all beneficial compounds, vitamins, minerals, and cannabinoids, like CBC, CBG, and CNB, are preserved.
Meaning, the compounds synergize with each other, creating the so-called entourage effect, and providing maximum therapeutic relief.
Another huge plus in this NuLeaf Naturals review is that the company regularly tests its products in third-party labs. They want to be 100% sure that all their products are free of dangerous chemicals, THC, microbes, heavy metals, and other things you wouldn’t like to put in your body.
NuLeaf uses two FDA registered labs: ProVerde in Milford, Massachusetts, and Steep Hill in Berkeley, California. The company even takes an additional step to ensure the safety of the products and users by having the Colorado State Department of Public Health and Environment inspect and ensure that the laboratories are compliant.
Numerous reviews of NuLeaf Naturals appreciate that the company is so concerned about the safety of their products, as well as the wellbeing of their consumers.
They test each individual batch and regularly update the official website with test results. You can find the results on every product description, or you can simply look up the results for a specific batch on their Batch/Lot Lookup page.
Furthermore, every product has a QR code so you can quickly scan it and access the results on your smartphone.

Overview of Different Product Types
We already mentioned that NuLeaf Naturals focuses only on CBD oil, so they’re not really a one-stop-shop for CBD aficionados. Many CBD users criticize the company for not expanding its product range to offer CBD capsules, topicals, and edibles. Now, although this may be a downside, we still think it’s better to offer two products of the highest possible quality than a myriad of average and below-average products, even though many NuLeaf Naturals CBD reviews disagree with this.

NuLeaf Naturals CBD Oil Review
CBD oils that NuLeaf Naturals sells are among the strongest and highly concentrated on the market. Due to their concentration, they’re more suitable for people who already have experience with CBD and know how their body reacts to it.
NuLeaf CBD oil may also be better suited for individuals who have a medical condition like anxiety, chronic pains, aches, seizures, and insomnia, than for people who need CBD for overall wellness.
As NuLeaf offers only two products, we decided to test and review both.
1. NuLeaf Naturals CBD Oil Reviews
Product Name: Full Spectrum Hemp CBD Oil
Product strength: 900mg
Recommended for: anxiety, depression, reducing inflammation, brain development, and sleep improvement
Advised dosage and treatment: not indicated
- Organic virgin hemp seed oil
- Full-spectrum hemp extract
CBD concentration: 60mg/ml or 2.4mg per drop
There are different CBD oil sizes, but NuLeaf is consistent, which we indeed like, and no matter which size you buy, you’ll get 60mg of CBD per milliliter; that is, 2.4mg per drop. Of course, the greater the size, the more value for money you’ll get.
The oil is gold in color, which is a clear indicator of its pureness. Brownish or greenish CBD oils usually have additives, impurities, and plant residues.
Now, some people may not like this part of our NuLeaf Naturals full-spectrum CBD oil review. With an all-natural product comes an all-natural taste and smell. This may be a problem for people who are new to CBD. Both the taste and smell are earthy and slightly nutty. The taste is by no means offensive or overwhelming and the oil leaves a slightly tart aftertaste. Some customers criticize the company for not adding at least natural flavoring, but we respect that NuLeaf wants to go completely natural. You could always add the oil to your food, smoothie, or tea to mask the taste or chase it down by some juice or water.
What we didn’t like is that there’s no recommended NuLeaf Naturals CBD oil drops dosage on the website. Sure, the products come with a guide and recommendations, and we appreciate that. However, it would be much better if people could get this info on the website.
With that said, NuLeaf recommends starting slowly, with one drop (2.4mg), and increasing the dosage gradually. Take your body weight, the time of the day, and the effects you’d like to achieve into consideration and listen to your body.
The company recommends holding your NuLeaf Naturals CBD dosage under the tongue for 30–60 seconds so your body can absorb all the nutrients from the oil. You can also use it topically for skin irritations and blend it with a moisturizer for a personalized CBD skincare.
As our team doesn’t suffer from any major health issues, we can confirm that the oil is fantastic for reducing stress levels and it did help us fall asleep faster. However, customers’ reviews for NuLeaf Naturals CBD claim that it works wonders for arthritis-caused pains. They also praise NuLeaf CBD oil for insomnia.
2. NuLeaf Naturals CBD for Pets Reviews
Product Name: Full Spectrum Hemp CBD Pet Oil
Product strength: 900mg
Recommended for: all pets; separation anxiety
Advised dosage and treatment: not indicated
- Organic virgin hemp seed oil
- Full-spectrum hemp extract
CBD concentration: 60mg/ml; 2.4mg per drop
We found no difference between the human and pet version of NuLeaf’s CBD oil, besides the paws on the label of the CBD oil for pets. The concentration and ingredients are completely the same, as is the smell.
The dosing instructions come with the products, and as with the human version of their CBD oil, there’s no recommended NuLeaf Naturals CBD oil dosage for pets on the website. We understand that the dosage depends on the age, weight, and overall health of your pet, but it would be a nice touch if people could see right on the website how much CBD oil they’d need to order for their pets.
But, fear not, this doesn’t mean that NuLeaf CBD oil is bad for your pet. On the contrary, CBD is good for dogs and cats, in general. We even stumbled upon some NuLeaf Naturals pet CBD reviews that praise it for its positive effects on their chickens no less.
People are more than satisfied with NuLeaf’s CBD for pets and claim that their furry friends are more relaxed, don’t have appetite and digestion issues, and their separation anxiety levels are much lower. Moreover, NuLeaf Naturals for dog skin reviews even claim that the quality of their dogs’ skin and hair has improved after using NuLeaf’s CBD oil for some time.
Due to the natural smell and taste of the oil, it could be a bit hard to administer it to your pet. In that case, you can trick them by mixing the oil in their wet food.
We believe this is an excellent product for all pets — hence why NuLeaf’s CBD for pets is on our list of the best CBD oils for dogs.
- High levels of CBD
- Trace amounts of CBC, CBG, and CBN
- Pet CBD oil available
- USDA certified
- GMP-compliant with an ISO 8-certified lab
- Limited product range
- Only one strength
- Unflavored CBD has an earthy and grassy taste
If you’re specifically looking for a CBD oil, NuLeaf Naturals is the perfect choice. Their product line may be limited, but they offer some of the best oils with the highest potency on the market. Not to mention they have fantastic package deals.
The organic and sustainable hemp sourcing, paired with the cleanest extraction method and regular and thorough third-party testing results in one of the most effective CBD oils for both mental and physical issues.
We hope that this NuLeaf Naturals review shows that the company takes its customers seriously and wants to give them only the best and safest products.
Is NuLeaf Naturals legit?
NuLeaf Naturals products are consistent, highly potent, and third-party tested. That’s why we believe they’re absolutely legit and safe to use.
Will NuLeaf CBD oil show up on a drug test?
NuLeaf CBD oil is full-spectrum; meaning it has less than 0.3% THC, which is completely legal in the US. This most likely won’t show up on a drug test as you’d need between 1000mg and 2000mg of CBD to get a positive drug test, but it depends on a variety of factors.
What are the 2 types of CBD oil?
There are actually three types of CBD oil, but the two most well-known are full- and broad-spectrum.
- Full-spectrum CBD oil has all the cannabinoids that come from the hemp plant, including THC (less than 0.3% though).
- Broad-spectrum CBD oil has all the cannabinoids that come from the hemp plant but has no THC.
- Isolate CBD oil has only CBD and contains no other cannabinoids.
